Abstract

ABSTRACTPattern Activities and Diversity of Grasshopper (Insecta: Orthoptera) in Ciremai MountainNational Park, Kuningan, West Java. The grasshoppers of the Gunung Ciremai National Park, based on collections in 2008 are reported. The grasshoppers were collected by transect methodin three locations: Seda (508 m asl), Palutungan (1076 m dpl) and Cilengkrang (1143 m asl). Atotal, thirty three species of grasshoppers were recognized. The numbers of species/diversityindex Shanon are: 25/2.99, Palutungan 18/2.60, and Cilengkrang 13 species/2.46. The highestactivity of Ciremai grasshoppers was between 11.00-12.00 pm. The Erianthus sp was newrecord from Java, whereas Oxya spp.and Catantops (Acridiidae) spp were only found onSeda. Bibracte sp.(Acridiidae) and Paratrigonidium faseocinctum (Gryllidae) were only foundon Cilengkrang, whereas Oxyrrhepes obtusa (Acridiidae) was only found on Palutungan.Species similarity on location, observation time, activity, and habitat of each grasshopper arediscussed.Kata kunci : Activities, diversity, grasshopper, orthoptera, insecta, Ciremai

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe Abundance and Diversity of Fungi Inhabiting Soil Samples from Mount Ciremai NationalPark, West Java. A study on isolation and identification of mould inhabiting soil samples hasbeen conducted. The objective of the study was to isolate and identify mould inhabiting soilsamples from Mount Ciremai National Park, West Java. The mould isolation was based onsample dillution method with Rose Bengal Cloramphenicol Agar mould isolation media. Theabundance of mould counted by measuring the average Colony Forming Unit (CFU)/ml of allmould colonies which growth on isolation media by Total Plate Count (TPC) method. Thediversity of isolated mould was identified based on morphological character. The result showedthat the average of mould colonies between 8,5x103-11,3x104 CFU/ml. The result of mouldidentification showed that nine mould generas are Aspergillus (6 species), Chaetomium (2species), Eupenicillium, Gliocladium, Mucor, Penicillium (6 species), Rhizopus, Trichoderma(2 species), and two groups of unidentified sterile mould.Key words: abundance, diversity, mould, soil samples, Mount Ciremai National Park

Abstract

ABSTRACTLand Snail Diplommatina spp (Mollusc, Gastropoda) at Ciremai Mountain National Park. The microscopies of land snail Diplommatinids depend on the water resources. This memberof mollusc can be used as a forest indicator. The results of the study shown that 50% JavanDiplommatinids found in this park. The study also indicated that Palatungan, Linggarjati andApuy (Argamukti) has Shannon and Weiner diversity: 1.33, 0.85, and 0.84, respectively.Key words: Diplommatina, Mollusc, TN. G. Ciremai

Abstract

ABSTRACTEcological Aspect and Gonadal Maturation of Tor soro by HCG peletted Implantation. Theexperiment was conducted to determine optimal dosage of Gnrh-a hormon at gonadal maturationof mahseer from Kuningan (Tor soro). The fish was reared in concrete tanks (60m2). Thehormon was used for implantation is HCG (pregnyl). The different dosage of hormon are 250Iu/Kg-1 ; 500 Iu/Kg-1 ; 750 Iu/Kg-1 . The result of this reaserch showed that egg development isMei-Juni (average of egg diameter is 1,4 mm) and Januari (average of egg diameter is 1,35 mm),Other month, the egg diameter was not develop or atresia. Treatment with 500 Iu/Kg-1 dossageshowed the best effect on oosit diameter was at 21 day and 63 day from first oosit diameter of0,9 mm to 1,4 mm.Keywords: Seasonal changes, gonadal maturation, implantation, kancera (Tor soro)

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe natural dissarter and Land Slide at Ciremai Mountain National Park. Kuningan region,West Java, has relatively highly potential on the seismic and land slide hazards. This region issituated on the active tectonics, deep slopes and generally composed by volcanic sediments ofCiremai volcano. All of those factors are, even more, situated on the annually high rainfallregion. The fractures and deformation of the soil and landforms triggered by the earthquakesalso an important factor facilitate the land slides.Keyword: Kuningan, West Java, seismic hazard, earthquake, land slide hazard

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe influence of altitude and habitat to Coprophagous beetles diversity (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae)at two site (Apuy and Linggarjati) of Gunung Ciremai National Park. As a newNational Park, the data about insects diversity from Gunung Ciremai and surrounding areas arelack especially about the influence of altitude and habitat to Coprophagous beetles.Coprophagous beetles is important to the ecological process related to nutrient cycling andsoil aeration, dispersal of seeds deficated by frugivorous and phoretic mites. The mostimportance the coprofagous beetles was very sensitive to environment or habitat changesespecially the vertebrate where they live within. Coprophagous beetles as forest indicatorcause of their behaviors and primary correlated with the population of the vertebrate faunas inhabitat conditions. This study aims to know the impact of altitude and habitat to thecoprophagoes beetles community in two forest areas (Apuy and Linggarjati), Gunung CiremaiNational Park. Totally 15 species (1089 specimens) of coprophagoes beetles collected byhuman dung traps and dominated by Onthophagus luridipennis (603 specimens).Key words: Coprophagous beetles, habitat, altitude and Ciremai

Abstract

ABSTRACTCase Study of Hidro-Climatology at Cirebon-Indramayu, Majalengka-Kuningan (Ciayu Majakuning). Case Study Water balance calculation has beenconducted in the region of Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka and Kuningan or abbreviatednicely as the Ciayu-MajaKuning region. The hidro-climatological component such asevapotranspiration and precipitation were calculated using the NOAH Land-Surface Model(LSM). Model output of monthly data used in the calculation span in the period of 2001-2007.The model has grid box or model resolution of 25 km x 25 km. From the calculation, it is obtainedthat the average of evapotranspiration in this region is 3.1 mm/day or 90 m/month. The maximumvalue of 3.8 mm/day is occurred in May whereas the minimum value of 2.8 mm/day is occurredin December. The highest monthly precipitation occurred in the mountain region (Kuningan)of 450-500 mm/month. In this study area, the period of August-November is the water deficitwhile the period of December-July is the water surplus period in term of water balance. Fromdistrict division point of view, Indramayu is the driest area, and gradually following thetopography height, Kuningan district is the wettest area. Implication of these results to watermanagement aspect is that the dry Area such as Indramayu needs more water supplies byirrigation for agriculture. The sustainable of hydrology cycle path way from Kuningan andMajalengka as the water resources because of highly precipitation to the downstream area(Indramayu and Cirebon) where the precipitation are less is very important in this region.Key words: Water balance, evapotranspiration, hydrology cycle, NOAH-Land-Surface Model
